Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Confirmed to Launch on October 25

Xiaomi, the leading techno manufacturing firm has made a reputed place in the smartphone market in very less time with awesome products and services. On the previous Friday, the company confirmed that it will launch its latest flagship smartphone Mi Note 2 at an event going to be held in Beijing on Tuesday (October 25). The smartphone has been in rumors for a long time and has also been leaked in past few weeks. The company has also confirmed the biggest expectation of people that the handset will feature a curved or dual edge display.

The company in a tweet on Friday stated that the Mi Note has been “Curved to impress”. By the following statement the company has made it clear that the upcoming smartphone will be blessed with a “two-sided dual curves”. This confirmation of launching by the company follows the leaks tipped in the previous weeks about pricing and specifications. The leak also showed the availability of a dual camera setup and an iris scanner.

As per the leaked specifications, the Android smartphone will be seen featuring a 5.7-inch Super AmoLED display of resolution 1440X2560 pixels along with a pressure sensitive technology. It is believed to be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 821 SoC and the optical part of the Dual-SIM smartphone will feature a dual camera setup, one of 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor and the other one is 12-megapixel Sony IMX378 sensor. An 8-megapixel front camera is also be expected by the company for shooting selfies.

The GSM-based handset is believed to be backed up by a 4100mAh battery along with a Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The connectivity options of the device include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.5/5 GHz)MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. It is supposed to be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on MIUI 8.

Keeping an eye on the leaked information, we can see that the smartphone will arrive in two variants, One with 4GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, which will be priced at CNY 2,799 (Rs 27,800 approx) whereas the other will get 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of inbuilt storage, that will come priced at CNY 2,999 (Rs 29,800 approx).
