Xiaomi furthest thing from a household name captures its core audience — students and geeks by making high-end smartphones available at low cost.

Recent interaction between Wang Teng Thomas, the product director of the company with users on Chinese social media-website “Weibo” revealed that the company may launch a smartphone with a pop-up camera, and hinted a new design to be introduced in the smartphone, depending on the demand for such design & its popularity.

As per the report by GizmoChina, the company applied for a patent registration for alike design back in the year 2015 as the company has launched a slider designed smartphone-Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 already. However, the new design is unique and offbeats the traditional slider designs in Mi MIX 3 where users need to manually slide in and out the camera. That was not an automated function as we have witnessed in Vivo NEX or Oppo Find X. If the device design would not attach eyes of the major population then the company may stop working with such designs.

Another report by GizmoChina confirms that Redmi started off as a series of affordable smartphones from Xiaomi, is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC. This attests that the company and its sub-brands are working on six Snapdragon 855 SoC powered devices. This includes the upcoming launch- Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9 Explorer Edition, suspected Mi MIX 4, the next Black Shark gaming smartphone, possible Poco F2, and the recently acknowledged Redmi smartphone.

The same was also confirmed by Lu Weibing, the Vice-President of Xiaomi and Head of Redmi after when the company made an announcement regarding the launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro in China after Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi 9 Explorer Edition. Indians will greet the most awaiting Redmi Note 7 on February 28, 2019, in the country
