Xiaomi Reduces Prices of Three Smartphones

As per the IDC, Xiaomi is the most sold smartphone which makes it the number one brand in India for Q3 2018. For the fifth continuous quarter, Xiaomi is on the top position and to celebrate this achievement, the Chinese company has cut down the prices of three smartphones in India. Manu kumar Jain, Xiaomi India head announced that Xiaomi is cutting down the prices in India of Xiaomi Mi A2, Xiaomi Redmi Y2 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones by Rs 1000. The company also says that the drop in price is due to the price reduction of some of its component. Jain also confirmed that Xiaomi is going to launch Redmi 6 Pro on November 22, 2018, in India.

Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi A2, Redmi Y2 price cuts

Xiaomi says that it has slashed down the prices of three smartphones - Xiaomi Mi A2, Xiaomi Redmi Y2 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro each by Rs 1,000.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, whose introductory price was Rs 16,999, is now priced at Rs 15,999. The Xiaomi Mi A2 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, whose introductory price was Rs 19,999, is now priced at Rs 18,999. The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 4GB RAM + 64GB variant price has also been slashed from Rs 12,999 to Rs 11,999.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB RAM + 64GB storage,whose earlier price was Rs 14,999, is now priced at Rs 13,999. Similarly, the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, whose earlier price was Rs 16,999, is now priced at Rs 15,999.

All the new prices will come in effect from November 17, 2018 at 12pm IST, across all sales platforms.
