Xiaomi Rolls Out Redmi Note 5 MIUI 9.5 Global Stable Build Update for Indian Users

The Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has launched the latest MIUI 9.5 Global stable build update for its Redmi Note 5 handsets. The MIUI 9.5.4.0.NCFMIFA will add new features, increase optimization as well as remove old bugs. The Over-the-Air update comes at the back of the earlier announcement made by the budget phone maker earlier this year. About 30 smartphones - including the dated Mi 3 and Redmi 3 are slated to receive the MIUI 9.5 build via over-the-air (OTA) update this month.

A few notable features of the MIUI 9.5.3.0.REGMIFA update includes

  2. The MI mover app can now resume interrupted transfers.
  3. Better optimized browser kernel.
  4. Fresh Redesigned Start Page.
  5. Sound recording options for the Screen Recorder App.


The Redmi Note 5 was launched in February 2018. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 9 and is sold by the name of Redmi 5 Plus in China. Launched in February this year, the budget offering from one of India’s favorite brands the Redmi Note 5 was the predecessor to the extremely popular, the Redmi Note 4. The Redmi Note 5 comes in 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 11,999 respectively. Only a few select Redmi Note 4 users have so far received the nightly build of MIUI 9.5. On the other hand, the OTA update rollout for the Redmi Note 5 has been wider and aggressive.

Those users who do not receive the OTA Updates on time can manually update their handsets. Redmi Note 5 users should follow the steps below Go to Settings > Then Select About phone > Now press on System updates. The phone will be updated. Users can further enhance their Android experience by flashing the ROM via fastboot method (file size of 2GB) or via recovery method (file size of 1.4GB).
