Xiaomi had unveiled the flagship Mi 4i earlier, but has now announced a price cut of its 16 GB variant. The company has decided to launch the device with a new price tag. The announcement was so instant that the device has been slashed with an amount of Rs. 1000 from today onwards. But with this, the 32GB variant will continue to sell with the same price tag of Rs. 14,999 as before.
It was declared as a Diwali sale earlier, but from now the juggernaut has thought off to slash the price by Rs. 1000 and offer the same device with a permanent price cut. Mi 4i 16 GB variant earlier costs Rs. 11,999, but now the actual price tag of the same is Rs. 10,999. It has been tweeted by the company that, "It's official! Starting 17th Midnight our favorite Mi4i 16GB will be at an all new price of Rs.11,999". It is to be noted that earlier the device was launched at Rs. 12,999 for 16GB variant.
The smartphone features 5-inch full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution containing OGS Corning IPS display with 441ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The device runs on MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has been unveiled in a new color variant as Dark Grey for the Indian market.
It further has various specs that were unveiled with the launch. The shooter’s side has 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs 3120mAh battery. With this, the device was introduced earlier via Mi.com/in, its official website. That was considered to be the first instance for the India based Mi phones.
The company has also provided mi Protect insurance service to its smartphones and tablets. The new Mi Protect plan covered accidental and liquid damages. It will be provided at Rs. 499 for Mi 4i 16GB variant.
