Indian conglomerate Intex recently unveiled Xolo Era X in February and now taking one step further, the company has expanded its Era lineup of smartphones by unveiling Era 1X in India. The new handset is quoted for Rs 4,999 and will be made available for purchase via e-commerce website Flipkart.
The company has decided to start the distribution from September 15 and as a start has begun the registration process for the handset. The India as a country is gripped in Reliance Jio fever, and taking into consideration the same fact, the company has decided to bring in VoLTE support with the device allowing it to work with Reliance Jio network. Additionally, the Android smartphone also packs a dual-LED front flash which no wonder is hardly seen on smartphones at this price cut.
On the specs front, the Dual-SIM smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS display giving a resolution of 1280x720 pixels with 16M color, 294ppi pixel density and 2-point multi-touch support. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832A quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and operates on Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box. Not just this, the handset also comes with 8GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
On the terms of photography, the GSM-handset bears an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash support along with 5P Largan lens and 1080p video recording facility. The rear camera is supported by 5-megapixel camera on the front side apt for taking selfies and supporting dual-LED flash. Both the cameras come with support for features like Live Photos, Beauty Mode, Burst Mode, Time-Lapse, and Slow-Motion.
The Xolo Era 1X houses a 2500mAh battery which can be removed surprisingly. The company claims it can last up to 185 hours of standby time, up to 22 hours of 2G talk time, and up to 13 hours 28 minutes of 3G talk time. The handset despite being a Dual-SIM product with 4G support comes with the restriction that only one SIM can support 4G at one time.
Last but not the least, Xolo Era 1X includes some other notable features as well including Audio Note, Smart Screenshot, Smart Awake, Assistant Cast screen, LED flash for the call, and flip to mute alarms and calls features. In terms of connectivity options, the device equips 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, Micro USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and Bluetooth support. The dimensions of the product stand at 145.5x72x8.6mm, and as per what the reports say, the new Xolo Era 1X smartphone will likely be made available in two color options namely Black/Gunmetal and Gold/Brown colors.
