Zopo Launches P5000, Z5000 With Dual Camera Setup, 5000mAh Battery At IFA 2017

The renowned Chinese smartphone maker Zopo has recently updated its mid-range smartphones portfolio with the launch of two new camera and battery-centric smartphones, Zopo P5000 and Zopo Z5000 at the IFA 2017 trade show event in Berlin. Both the smartphones come with a full metal unibody design, dual rear camera setup, a mammoth 5,000mAh battery and fingerprint sensor. The Zopo P5000 comes in Black and Red colors, while the Z5000 comes in Gold and Black color options. Unfortunately, the pricing details and availability of the two smartphones have not revealed by the company yet.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Zopo P5000 comes equipped with a massive 5.99-inch HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved glass coating on top. The display has 18:9 aspect ratio and offers a pixel density of 268ppi. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6750T) octa-core processor coupled with Mali T860 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Zopo P5000 is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the device runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. For biometric authentication process, the Zopo P5000 features a rear-mounted fingerprint recognition button that is housed on the back panel of the device.

In terms of optics, the Zopo P5000 houses a dual rear camera setup, which comes combined with one 13-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), and one 5-megapixel secondary camera. The vertically arranged dual rear camera setup comes mated to a dual-tone LED flash unit. Talking about its selfie camera, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter with Samsung S5K3P3 sensor, a f/2.0 aperture and a soft LED flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions.

On the connectivity front, the Zopo P5000 supports dual-SIM dual standby, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port for super-fast charging and other connectivity. Sensors on the device include a Fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted), Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, and Proximity sensor. On the battery front, the Zopo P5000 comes packed with a 5,000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. The company claims that the battery is rated to deliver up to 40 hours of talk time and up to 480 hours of standby time.

Coming next to the Zopo Z5000, the smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass protection on top. The Zopo Z5000 draws its power from a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6750T) octa-core processor, which comes paired with Mali T860 GPU. The Zopo P5000 also comes loaded with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The smartphone also runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and features a front-mounted fingerprint sensor that is housed underneath a capsule-sized physical Home Button of the device.

For photography, the Zopo Z5000 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup, which also comes associated with one 13-megapixel camera and one 5-megapixel secondary camera.
