Researchers at the University of Surrey have come outside with striking speed of 1Terabit per second while testing 5G. This would be the best-ever achievement for the researchers whenever it will come in existence. Probably, we will soon get this data service beyond your expectations. It is speculated that 2020 would be the year of revolution in the industry of Wireless networks.
Well, researchers found 65,000 times faster data sped than 4G during this test. If goes with theoretical reports, then 5G network can let you to download around 100 movies in just 3 seconds which is just beyond the expectation and limit in current perspective. Earlier Samsung tested 5G data speed at 7.5Gbps which is quite low than the Surrey’s record speed. At 7.5Gbps spped, an HD movie will complete the download in one second. And, the new record has arrived as bolt from the blue.
Rahim Tafazolli, 5GIC director Professor said, "We have developed 10 more breakthrough technologies and one of them means we can exceed 1Tbps wirelessly. This is the same capacity as fibreoptics but we are doing it wirelessly." However, it’s hard to guess the exact date for the release of such 5G data service as the 1Tbps speed was achieved in the laboratory environment over 100m of distance. The faster 5G data will reach in smartphones in 2020 hopefully.
