Amazon will stop selling the media streaming devices from Google Inc. and Apple Inc. because they aren't easily compatible with its video service. While using its service to promote the products, Amazon found that it fits its own retailing strategy.
The Amazon Web retailer sent an email to its marketplace sellers that it will stop selling the Apple's TV and Google's Chromecast. These devices doesn't properly works with its Prime Video Service. The listing of the products and the existing posts will be removed till October 29th.
One of the Amazon's spokesperson mentioned that over the last three years, Prime Video Service has become an important part of its Prime series. It's an important thing that the streaming media players they sell, interact well with our Prime Video in order to avoid customer's confusion.
As we all know that Roku, XBOX, Playstation and Fire TV are excellent choices. Apple TV has yet to add the service but to watch the Prime Videos on Chromecast seems to be less ideal.
As per the reports, Amazon, Google, Apple and Roku devices sold the 86% percent of all media-streaming products to U.S households with broadband in 2014. Now, an estimate of 86 million media streaming devices will be sold globally in 2019, the research firm said.
According to the Parks associates, Amazon sets the Apple at No.3 position in sales in 2014, Roku led the market with 34% and Google was second with 23%. Amazon is expecting from products that compete with their own to stay in the online store.
