Apple Unveils iOS 10.3 Beta 1 With Some Major Improvements

Apple, the silicon valley based organisation introduced the developers version of its iOS 10.3, which is fueled up with some admirable changes, which will make your eyes widen up for a second.

The new update will feature the previously announced AFPS (Apple File System). The new file system has been built up from the grounds-up for flash storage and will deliver improved performance and future-proofing as compared to the current file system. It will soon be available for all Apple platforms including iOS, macOS, watch OS, and tvOS. Your files will be retained after getting your device update do remember that you will not be able to go back after updating your device. So, a backup is highly recommended before updation.

The second and the most interesting feature in the new update is Find My AirPods. The new AirPods do look cool, but things get messed up when any of those get misplaced. Considering this, the company has introduced this new feature, by which you will be able to send a beeping sound through one or both of your AirPods to locate them. You will also be able to locate the last place they were in on a map before they lost connection with the phone in the new update.

Moreover, the developers will now be able to ask for ratings for their application in a new way. The new update will feature a new SKStoreReviewController API, by which developers will be able to show a dialog box, which will let user rate and review the application within itself, without getting redirected to the App Store.

Additional features in the new update will include ability for developers to have multiple alternate icons for their apps, improved Safari 10.1, widget for Podcasts app, support in Siri to display Cricket scores from Indian Premier League as well as International Cricket Council, support for payments of bills and check status of payments in Siri with the new SiriKit, and the weather icon in Maps can be 3D Touched to show hourly forecasts and other information.
