Microsoft had a deal with Foursquare earlier, investing $15 million. Now the company is ready to get the fruits which it was planted earlier. The company is adding a new feature in Cortana which will pull the data from Foursquare to answers your query as per your preferences. This new integration will be beneficial for those users that are moving somewhere or on the go.
This investment deal has given more space to Microsoft to spread its visibility and accessibility. As the Cortana gives its services to Windows Phone 8.1 based smartphone devices but it is available in US only for Windows Phone devices. It is expected that China and UK market will soon get it in updated Windows Phone based devices.
The customize Cortana’s screenshot has been seen on Reddit which is showing that the new Cortana has the ability to fetch the data from Foursquare to get the list of nearby places as per your current location or as per specified one. Microsoft’s virtual assistant is made up with keeping the requirements of today’s world in mind with technology. She is a kind of your personal assistant which offers its services before you ask for it. What effect will the company will receive of this new customization are not known but it gives the clear indication that it will definitely give tough competition to Apple’s SIRI and Google’s Google Now.
