MTNL has brought unlimited free local calling for its landline and broadband users. Though its only applicable in night. From Friday, May 01, 2015, the company has made this service active. It will let customers to make free calls in night to any network. However, there is a time limit which from 10.00pm to 7.00am.
The telco stated, “MTNL has decided to introduce unlimited free local calling for its landline and broadband customers (combo) between 10pm and 7am to any network. The free unlimited calling facility is also available for Delhi MTNL landline customers to any network to Mumbai and vice versa during the same hours.”
Users can take the benefit of such unlimited free calls from May 1. So, it’s a good time for all MTNL landline customers. It seems that organization has took such step to prompt people to use the landline services for calling purpose, looking at the increasing population toward the mobile technology. Landline has become ignorable these days and for that reason, company may make such plan.
On the other side, BSNL has alo announced the same free unlimited night calling scheme for its customers which has also come in effect from Friday May 1. The state-run telco is offering the free call from 9pm to 7pm to all networks. BSNL said this plan has been introduced to boost the business and use of landline.
