Amazon, the global E-commerce king announces Release Day Delivery Services (RDD) in India. This service is dedicated in concern to deliver the product at your doorsteps on the day of its launch. To avail this service, Amazon will allow its customers to pre-order the product and subsequently, the product will be shipped to their mentioned address soon after the product will be available for purchase.
Amazon has initialized this service with the launch of Xbox One. The customers, who have per-ordered this gaming system had started receiving it and many are still on-route to their shipping address. At present, the company has only added this service to the Video gaming section, but soon many more categories are expected to be added under this service.
The Xbox One was launched at 00:01 hours. The customers were surprised and delighted with the deliveries being made at midnights as soon as the product was made available for delivery. The deliveries were made in many cities that includes Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Nagpur. Talking on this, Amit Agarwal, Vice President and Country Manager, Amazon India stated, "We know how eager customers are to lay their hands on new releases. We cannot think of a better way to 'Deliver Smiles'. We are absolutely delighted by the response we got and look forward to offering more delightful experiences for our customers."
Amazon, in the race of becoming the top E-commerce website in India has started working on many beneficiary strategies. In that format, the company has already stated that they may start the drone delivery service (DDS) to their customers in the festival time of October. According to the reports of Crisil, the Indian online retail market is expected to touch Rs 50,000 crore by 2016, attracting major foreign retailers.
