Samsung Galaxy S8 to Arrive with Enhanced AI Digital Assistance

Samsung, on this sunday has announced that its upcoming flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 will feature an enhanced Artificial Intelligence powered Virtual Assistance. By which user will be able to perform any task without using any third party applications like ordering food and booking a ticket, he/she just have to ask the Virtual Assistant for the operations like that.

Besides it, the company has also announced that this technology will also be embedded in other electronic products like refrigerators. The Samsung has not unveiled any specific task performed by the following feature. The company is expected to unveil its next step for its upcoming smartphone in this spring as it has done for the past ones, but it seems like this time the Samsung will face a crucial time because of its Note 7 issue. An estimated amount of 5.3 billion USD has been last by the company because of that issue.

The leading techno giant had failed to resolve the issue of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone. It recently has acquired Viv labs, a California startup by the same team which sold Siri to Apple. With the help of them, Samsung has introduced a voice assistant named “S voice”. This step by the firm can be taken as a further step to get seperated by Google.

According to the executives at Samsung and Viv labs, the upcoming AI platform will also allow the third-part applications to provide their services through an open AI platform. Samsung in a statement said, “Our Galaxy smartphones don't provide services that enable consumers to order pizza or coffee, but does provide third party applications. But the new AI platform will enable consumers to do things that they would usually do through a separate third party application.”
