Samsung Wallet will Reach to its Collapse on June 30

What we have called this – a bad news or a good one. The South Korean tech juggernaut is going to shutdown its veteran Samsung Wallet service to keep focusing on its new Samsung Pay service. As the time is coming closer for the company’s new mobile payment service, the day of termination of its years old service is also coming near as well.

Samsung is busy in informing all its Wallet users about the discontinuity of the service via emails. The service will be going to discontinue on June 30. Well, we can’t make any confirmation about why it is going to happen, but it can be speculated that company’s latest mobile payment service Samsung Pay would be the reason behind it as the launch of this new service for all Samsung users is very close.

As per company mails, reservations and tickets which were booked through the wallet, will be available after the discontinuity. Not any new reservations or tickets will be made through such service after its termination.

The Samsung Wallet was introduced to store membership cards, boarding passes, reservation tickets and many more. It was like Apple’s Passbook. And, like Apple brought its mobile payment system Apple Pay for its users, Samsung also brought Samsung pay for same purpose, making payments through mobiles only. No need of carrying credit card all time with you.
