Sony Smartwatch 3 and Smartband Talk Uncovered at IFA 2014

Sony has folded the sleeve at IFA to arrive in the smart wearable market and made an announcement of its two new wearables SmartWatch 3 and SmartBand Talk. The Japanese Company has arrived in event with few more devices, including Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia E3 and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and said that both wearables will relese in market in autumn.

Smartwatch 3 is a smartwatch while the Smartband talk is a fitness band, but both will work with an app called Lifelog. It’s an app which tracks your fitness during the day. Let’s begin with the SmartBand Talk.

Sony SmartBand Talk

The band is crafted with 1.4-inch e-paper display which gives a classy look. You can call it a fitness band which is meant for monitoring health and also labeled as activity tracker which comes with calling feature that allows you to make calls using microphone and speaker. But, for taking the benefit of calling feature, the fitness band should have paired with your smartphone.

Sony Smartband Talk

The SmartBand Talk is specially built for monitoring your daily activities like how much you have run, how much you have walked and many other. There is one altimeter also which keeps track of climbing. And, all these information regarding your health and fitness is showing at 1.4-inch e-ink display. This band can go for three days in a one charge. When it uses with Lifelog app, then it shows the diary of your routine activities.

This is the first smartwatch of Sony which run on Android Wear platform. More sleek in design from its predecessor Smartwatch 2. Its 1.6-inch LCD transreflective screen is capable in giving 320 × 320 pixels resolution. Its transreflective nature improves the visibily of display when stay somewhere outside. It comes with 4 GB of built-in storage and 512MB of RAM. You can also enjoy music with this Smartwatch 3 through microphones. So, there is no need of smartphone to listen the music.

Its display is packed in stainless steel core and the gadget comes with IP68 certification to make it water proof. It will be available in Classic (black) and Sport (lime) colors. People can chose colorfukl straps which makes it’s a fashionable wearable. Along with the Lifelog app, it provides you a complete list of your day to day activity like what app you have used most, the count of movies you have watched and other day to day activities.

Both wearables are designed and engineered with keeping the water resistant issue in mind. Both gadgets can live for 30 minutes under 3 feet of water.
