Uber Introduced Its 'Dial an Uber' Service to 29 Cities of India

Uber, the very well known cab service providing company has now introduced a new ‘Dial an Uber’ feature to all of the 29 cities in India in which the company offers the service. The new feature will now allow users to book a cab without even installing the application. The feature was initially introduced in August in just four cities of the country including Guwahati, Jodhpur, Kochi, and Nagpur.

To use this feature and book a taxi, users will have to go on dial.uber.com via any browser of their mobile phone and then will have to enter their mobile number to sign-up or login, and then they can request for a ride. Thereafter they shall be able to communicate with the driver to pick them up and the payment will be done by cash after completing the ride.

Apurva Dalal, Head of Engineering, Uber India, stated, “Dial an Uber offers a convenient choice to customers looking to book a ride and is testament to our focus on using our technological edge to make mobility reliable and accessible for everyone.”

Uber has also introduced a new Uber Weddings feature to 12 cities in India, which will offer a rush free ride to the guests of customers earlier this month. This feature is currently available in 12 cities of the country including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, New Delhi, Udaipur and Pune.

The company also has redesigned its application earlier this month and has introduced the ‘shortcuts’ feature, showing frequent destinations by syncing with the calendar of user’s device. Now the company has also made an announcement to make a new feature available soon called PEOPLE, which will let users to set any person as a destination instead of any location.
