WhatsApp Releases 'Delete for Everyone' Feature

WhatsApp, the world's most used instant messaging App has earlier been reported to be working on a recall feature, and now, WABetainfo has reported that the new feature which was purportedly called 'Delete for Everyone' is being rolled out for the selected Android, iPhone, and Windows users. It's worth mentioning that the feature works if both the users i.e sender and receiver have the latest WhatsApp on their smartphones.

The report from the WABetainfo says that this feature is named as 'Delete for Everyone' and a few users have received this via the latest WhatsApp update. This feature can be used by pressing the thrash symbol and has also options like Delete for Me, on the off chance that users just need to erase the message from their smartphone only. The report also suggests that the rollout speed of this feature is still slow and may take some time to reach all the WhatsApp users.

The element is said to work for a wide range of messages like images, videos, GIFs, voice messages, contact, files, location, quoted message, and status replies on WhatsApp. It must be noted that this real;l feature only works within 7 minutes of sending the message - afterward the message can't be recalled or erased from all the devices. Erased messages will be shown as "This message was deleted for everybody."

WABetainfo further states that the WhatsApp at the moment does not recall a message contained in a quoted message. Also, messages cannot be deleted for everyone if they are sent in a broadcast list. The messages will not be deleted on the Symbian app, so those users will continue to see the recalled message. The website also adds that as of now, WhatsApp will not notify the user that the message has been deleted.
