SAGMart Reviews on Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS ABS
What’s Good:
The Pulsar NS 200 is the upgraded version of the Bajaj first modern sports bike. it was reintroduced in 2017 with the revised nomenclature for 200 NS to NS 200 so that it can better match up with the Pulsar line-up like the RS 200 and AS 200. However, it also received modifications majorly aimed at the BS-IV emission norms. That includes introduction of a new CDI ignition unit, a fuel vapour recirculation unit and a reworked catalytic converter. Furthermore, in order to make it an appealing, premium and up-to-date offering automaker provided some new colour schemes that are in contrast with alloy wheels rim graphics and colour. In addition to this, there is a belly pan fairing and AHO as new features.
Handling and Riding:
In terms of handling, the Pulsar NS 200 has always been one of the best bikes rolled out from the Bajaj stable. It is a lightweight motorcycle and offers manuevourity in traffic conditions. Ride quality is great, comfortable and the presence of MRF Zapper tyres not only provides better grip but also gives a high degree of confidence while rushing at a good speed.
Power and Mileage:
The powering for the re-introduced Pulsar NS 200 comes from 199.5 cc liquid cooled, carbureted engine. The engine is retuned to offer even better response during mid-range torque. The bike is really quick that it can easily complete 0-60kmph sprint in 4.86 seconds, and 0-100kmph one in 12.58 seconds. The provided fuel efficiency is 39.7kmpl on the highway and 36.1kmpl in city running conditions.
Safety:
For the safety purpose, the Chakan based bikemaker packed the NS 200 with the braking setup including a 280mm front pedal disc and a 230mm rear pedal disc armed by Bybre callipers. Furthermore, the facility of ABS is also being provided as an optional extra. The braking is that much precise that bike can stop from 80-0kmph in just 3.05 seconds. Pretty enough for boosting rider’s confidence.
Verdict:
Priced at an affordable asking price tag of INR 96,453 (Ex-showroom Delhi), the Pulsar NS 200 is one of the best value for money entry level performance bikes available in the market.
