SAGMart Reviews on Hero Glamour Disc Brake
What's Good
The disc brake version of Hero Glamour is the most practical variant of this bike. The looks and ergonomics are nice and support in well manner for routine jobs. The digital speedometer and front disc brakes provide optimum confidence.
What's Bad
The suspension and gear box issues are there in this bike, which kills the rider's performance thrust. Although, the bike is equipped with front disc brakes and good quality drum brake for rear wheel, but the rider's confidence level gets poorer with pace.
Power to mileage
Glamour delivers a mileage of upto 70 KMPL. But the power and torque which this engine is supposed to be begotten, isn’t matches with the maximum displacement of this bike, as the competition of this bike is fierce and this range of motorbikes are among the most selling bikes in India.
Handling and riding
The handling of this bike is good but not perfect. The design has been outdated and so is the mechanical. It's better to ride this bike in city locations and not much on highways. The tyres provide adequate grip and manages well to tackle the muddy and bad roads.
Safety
Safety concerns are hidden behind the braking and support equipments. The frame confers confidence, but merely upto the level of adequacy. The front disk brake and rear drum brake are good to manage the rough surfaces and tyres provide good grip over the tracks.
Maintenance issues
The Glamour demands very less for the maintenance. The technology behind the engine and other parts is so wise that it will see the workshop only at the time of general checkups and servicing. The bike sounds a bit down shifted due to the absence of 5th gear.
Verdict
Hero Glamour is a wise choice to have and it doesn't demand much for itself. This bike will serve best to those people who wish to have adequate power with decent mileage. The bike feels outdated now, but it can be grabbed for the price.
