Hero MotoCorp to Launch XTreme 200 S Before Next Auto Expo in 2018

Considering the recent reports, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp is actively working on a performance focused naked sports bike which will be launched within the next 18 months or before the next edition of Auto Expo in 2018. However, the reports does not clarify, which model will it be, we expect that it will be based on the concept version of Hero Xtreme 200 S which was showcased at this year’s Auto Expo along with the other models XF3R, the Duet-E and Splendor iSmart 110.

Based on a diamond frame chassis structure, the upcoming naked XTreme 200 S will features an aggressive front with the improved performance and dynamics. As the design language inspired from a ‘Cheetah’, it receives LED lights. Unlike its predecessor 150 cc variant, the new XTreme 200 S will also get a new suspension set up at the rear and disc brakes at both the front and the rear along with the ABS. The bike also gets multi-spoke alloy wheels.

Upcoming Hero XTreme 200 S

Mechanically, the new XTreme will receive a range topping engine configuration. It will be powered by a powerful 200cc single cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 18.6 PS at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 17.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The power is delivered to the rear wheel via a 5-Speed gearbox.

More on this upcoming Hero XTreme 200 S has yet-to-be-revealed by the officials. However, when launched it will reveal the popular KTM Duke 200.
