The Japanese automobile manufacturer, Toyota has introduced its new extended warranty plan of up to 7-years on its models. The new warranty plan is expected to applicable on its all models including Etios, the Etios Liva, the Innova, the Corolla Altis, the Camry and the Fortuner. The current standard warranty plan of the company is 3 years/1,00,000 km, so the new warranty proposal will definitely give some relief to its buyers.
Toyota’s new warranty plan starts where the standard one ends. More specifically, the company is going to offer two type of extended warranty schemes - the Toyota True Warranty and the Toyota Timeless Warranty. The first one can be chosen when the car is within the standard warranty period or say within three years/1,00,000 km, whereas the later can be selected once this standard package expires.
The company also further categorize its new extended warranty duration. In the True Warranty Package, the owner gets total five years of coverage, but the company has further classified this duration depending on the type of running the car does. Toyota has made three categories on the type of vehicle run - the average running, high running and very high running. The one with average running mark will get five years of warranty for 1,00,000 km, whereas a car with a very high running tag will be considered for 1,80,000 km for the same time duration.
Besides this extended warranty plan, Toyota also provides some additional benefits such as Toyota Roadside Assistance, Toyota Genuine Parts and PAN India Dealer Acceptance.
