1,50,000 Units of Hyundai Elite i20 Sold in India

Hyundai Elite i20 that was introduced as an updated version of i20 in August 2015, has sold 1,50,000 units in the Indian car market till date. This has enabled the automobile joint to capture 66% market share in the premium hatchback segment. Despite models like Volkswagen Polo, Honda Jazz and the recently launched Maruti Baleno, this Hyundai offering has performed quite well. Recently, the company announced to increase the production of Creta and now this hatchback model has also achieved great numbers in terms of sales. Surely this is a favourable phase for Hyundai Motors in India.

Discussing the features, new i20 gets numerous cosmetic elements that carry a wow factor. Its exterior is adorned with body colored door handles & wing mirrors, Blackened C pillar, straight body lines and much more. The rear end is quite stylish housing three-lamp brake lights that are integrated into the boot lid and are bordered by a pair of indicators on both sides. Moving inside, there is a dual tone black and beige cabin that has been refreshed with certain premium fitments like multi-functional steering wheel, Mutli information display, and advanced instrument cluster.

The Elite i20 is available with a lot of variants in both petrol and diesel powertrains that consist of a 1.2 litre and a 1.4 litre motor respectively. Talking about the former category, it is tuned to make 81.8Bhp and 115Nm of maximum output that is transferred to the wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. Moving on to the latter engine option, it is available with a 6-speed transmission facility and the output generated is measured at 88.8Bhp/220Nm.
