The Mercedes-Benz is expected to arrive in India along with its next generation C-Class runabout in November. This 2015 model is 95 mm longer as well as 40 mm wider as compared to its predecessor and the wheelbase is enhanced by 80 mm. It is built on the platform of Mercedes Rearwheel Architecture, having 100 kgs lighter weight with regard to its outgoing version. Talking about the body styles, the most awaited motor includes sublime grille and the centralized bolder 3 pointed star, which is inspired by the S-Class. Also, the sophisticated headlights remind the cue of new E-Class.
Inside the cabin, the new Mercedes C-Class comprises the brand new dashboard alongside the multi function 3 spoke steering wheel, classy air con vents, Upgraded COMAND system and the 8.4 inch heads-up display unit. Apart from the exteriors and interiors, the vehicle also holds the transcendent safety features, such as an adaptive braking system, attention assist and the collision prevention assist. The 2015 runabout will be powered by a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine to kick out the grandiose output of 184 HP with the peak torque of 300 Nm.
The 2.1 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine will generate the imposing output of 170 HP and the torque of 400 Nm. Both mill versions will be mated to the powerful 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. The carriage is anticipated to arrive in the Indian market as the rival of Volvo S60, BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.
