2016 Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Test Mule Spotted While Testing

The Mahindra Scorpio Getaway has been scheduled to be launched by the year end and the automaker has started the production in the full fledged manner accordingly. Recently, the car got spied while undergoing on-road testing wearing minor camouflage. We can easily find some significant changes in the Getaway model.

The images reveal that the front profile gets the look of the next-generation Scorpio. It sports projector headlights with LED Daytime Running Lamps. The wheels are similar to the previous model but it is likely to get replaced as the model gets launched. Moreover, the new Getaway will get the latest chassis update,assuring better handling and ride quality.

Mahindra Scorpio Getaway During Test

The interiors will house the configuration of new Scorpio with some minor updates. The top variant is expected to get a 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a GPS navigation system.

The new Mahindra Getaway will be powered by the 2.6-litre 4-cylinder, turbocharged DI engine that propels 116PS of power at 3800 rpm and 227 Nm of peak torque between 1700-2200 rpm. The engine would be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox with RWD configuration. However, the 4WD version will be available later on.
