2016 Triumph Speed Triple Caught Again During the Testing

The updated Triumph Speed Triple has been spotted again near its manufacturing facility in the UK, that are likely to be launched later this year. The 2016 Speed Triple R is also in the row of launching. Moreover, the production ready motorcycle has received cosmetic and mechanical updates that include all-new bodywork, reshaped headlights and new seat unit. The updated model will compete with the rivals of the segment that are KTM 1290 Super Duke R, Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR and BMW S1000R.

In terms of cosmetic and mechanical updates, the 2016 model gets new instrument cowl, a reshaped fuel tank and new belly pan. The other noteworthy features of the motorcycle are new bar-end-mounted mirrors and revised exhaust cans with reshaped, matte-aluminum heat shields. The British motorcycle maker has also fitted a redesigned fly-screen cowl accompanied by a ram air-intake which takes help of an overhauled headstock to the airbox. The 2016 model comes blessed with updated brakes as the braking duties will be performed by Brembo brakes. The spotted motorcycle is featured with Ohlins suspension that is also seen in the high specification R model.

In addition to cosmetic updates, the technical features of 2016 Speed Triple remain the same as the motorcycle is featured with the 1050cc inline three-cylinder motorcycle that will return 113 BHP of power and 111 Nm of torque. The updated version might slightly boost with more power than the current version. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. Believing the rumors, the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple is also expected to be making its appearance featuring keyless ignition and ride-by-wire throttle technology as well, with several power riding modes.
