Aprilia, the Italian bike manufacturer has recently launched Shiver 900 and Dorsoduro 900 with a price tag of Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 12.50 lakh respectively. Aforementioned prices are the Ex-showroom price of Pune. Both of the powerful bikes will be available at Piaggio Group’s Motoplexes in Pune, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The newly launched motorcycle will be available at an introductory price, in limited units, that will last until 30th June 2017. Dorsoduro 900 is an adventurous bike whereas Shiver 900 is a naked streetfighter.
The original prices of Shiver 900 and Dorsoduro 900 are Rs 13.33 lakh and Rs 13.84 lakh respectively. The introductory prices of both motorcycles are mentioned in above paragraph.
The Shiver has been equipped with a 900cc V-twin engine which produces maximum torque at any rpm which delivers more power and highlights motorcycle. The design aesthetics of the bike have been repaired, including side covers on the fuel tank, side panels, tail fairing and front mudguard and the motorcycle highlighting sporty look. The Shiver also comes up with an advanced traction control system along with an updated version of the ride-by-wire technology. Aprilia Shiver 900 has been featured with the instrument cluster comprises of TFT technology display along with the 4.3-inch screen. The bike has the capability to change the background and font colors, that can be changed and detected by the light sensor. Smartphones can be attached through AMP kit, by which phone calls and audio files can be accessed.
The Dorsoduro 900 has been equipped with a traction control system along with the continental two channel ABS system. The bike is also featured with a new coloured TFT digital instrumentation similar to Aprilia Shiver 900. It also comes up with a multimedia platform which allows riders to share and manage their trip information, interface with handlebar controls.
One of the highlighting features of Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 is ride by wire electronic accelerator system. It allows bikers to change the engine mapping, thereby creating a change in the amount of power utilized. Sport, Touring and Rain are some of the settings options available in the motorcycle, riders can choose one setting option according to their feasibility.
