2017 Facelift BMW 4-Series Unveiled, Receives M-Performance Upgrades

BMW has revealed the updated 4-series models that will go on sale under 2017 facelift moniker. The new 2017 4-series family is all set to make if first public appearance at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show which will be kicked out from this March 9, includes a Coupe, a Convertible and 4-door Gran Coupe. The updated range will go on sale in the international market from this March without any change in its price.

The updates to the facelift 4-Series are similar to those of seen on the 3-Series. The line-up receives several design tweaks and additional features along with M-Performance upgrades.

On the exterior, the changes include reworked Bi-Xenon LED headlamps along with the tweaked nose, standard LED foglamps with the optional adaptive-LED unit. Moving on the rear, the LED-taillights gets chrome finish as well as horizontal lighting. The 2017 BMW 4-Series has also added two new exterior shades and four new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels design.

As you step inside, you will be welcomed by a chrome and electroplated inserts cabin and a newly designed steering wheel. Also, there are three options available for selecting new upholstery namely Midnight Blue, Cognac and Ivory White. The center of attraction is double stitched dashboard that holds a ‘Multifunctional Instrument Display’, the complete instrument panel.

In order to enhance the driving comfort, the carmaker has also braced the suspension to offer a sportier handling. A new diesel powertrain has also been added which is named 418d, a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder configuration of that is capable of churning out the maximum power of 148 bhp. Apart from this, the mechanical specs remain identical to the outgoing line-up.
The top-end more track-focused trim M4 also get the similar updates in the Coupe and Convertible avatar. It also features an updated navigation system and ConnectDrive features, new leather upholstery and inside the cabin trims with Multifunctional Instrument Display. There is no change on the power output, it delivers the same 425 bhp from the twin turbo 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder.

As far as concern of the India-spec 4-series model, we only have the range-topping M4 model and we expect BMW India will also bring this facelift update in the country as well soon after its global launch.
