2017 Honda CB Shine SP Launched at INR 60,674 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

Soon after the launch of 2017 CB Shine with 4-speed, Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India has introduced the new generation of former’s elder sibling, 2017 Honda CB Shine SP with 5-Speed. The motorcycle is available to buy at an introductory price of INR 60, 674 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The measured updates on the 5-speed CB Shine SP are similar to the recently launched 2017 CB Shine, which has received a BS-IV compliant engine, always-headlamp-on (AHO), and new colours schemes and graphics.

Besides, a few things are also there which are new and different from the 4-speed Shine as the new CB Shine SP gains matt black plastic sections for the tank and tail panels. A short chrome exhaust muffler is also there on the motorcycle along with the inclusion of new tyres that promise low rolling resistance for better performance.

Available in six colour options of black, white, red, grey and a light and a dark blue, the 2017 Honda CB Shine SP is powered by the same a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 10.16 bhp of maximum power and 10.30 Nm of peak torque through the mated a five-speed transmission system. However, the BS-IV engine update ensures a better fuel efficiency and excretion of less toxic pollutants in the environment.

The really important braking system includes upfront disc brake and rear place drum brake in the standard variant. While a top-end trim is also available which is blessed with Combined Braking System (ABS) for extra security and convenience. In this segment, the new CB Shine SP will compete with the likes of Bajaj V12, Hero Glamour, and Suzuki Sling Shot.
