2017 Honda CB Unicorn 160 With Improved BSIV Engine Launched In India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI), has launched the 2017 Honda CB Unicorn 160 without making any buzz in the country. The company has silently updated its official website with the new model painted in a unique matte blue colour. Whereas, the other shades of the model, Red and Black, has got new graphics updates to fascinate a much wider range of audience. The most prominent accounted reform is the engine assembly’s upgradation to make it BS-IV emission norms compliant, that is going to imply in the country from next year.

Besides all this, the 2017 Honda Unicorn 160 now gets an intelligent feature of Automatic Headlamp ON (AHO), from next year which is going to be mandatory for all the two-wheelers in the country. A re-styled visor is also been employed over the headlamp, which resembles much like of the Hornet 160R.

If moves towards the powertrain end, the 2017 Unicorn 160 is powered by a 162.71cc single cylinder engine, which performed propelling duties for the regular model via a mated 5-speed gearbox. Now this improved BS-IV emission norms compliant engine will churn out slight lower power figures of 13.14 bhp/12.84 Nm than the BSIII compliant engine. That develops 13.82bhp at 8000rpm and dispatched 13.92Nm at 6000 rpm to the rear wheel.

On pricing end, the Honda official website is displaying the similar price tags of BSIII variants, for its updated standard and the CBS version. The base version is carrying the price tag of INR 73,481, whereas the CBS version costs a bit extra and available to retail at the pricing of INR 75,934. Both the prices are applicable at the authorized Delhi dealerships.
