2017 Honda CBR650F Launched in India at INR 7.3 lakh

Honda has launched the 2017 CBR650F sports bike in India at the pricing of INR 7.3 lakh. However, it is really surprising that how the bike maker managed to keep the pricing of next-generation model same as the previous model besides making drastic changes.

Fundamentally, the changes the bike has gone through are significant and are there to take the motorcycle's performance to a next level. The most significant of them is the introduction of new Showa Bending Valve forks that has already been observed on the new Harley Davidson Softail range of motorcycles. The mentioned unit is globally recognized for supplying better damping duties with complete control. In addition to that, the 2017 CBR650F also gets two-piston Nissin calipers anchored to the wheel mounted 320mm dual front discs and sintered brake pads for better performance.

There is not much information about the mechanicals, yet it has been found that the global model witness a hike of 4hp in power that now calculates 90hp while Honda India website is showcasing the same old 86bhp. The torque figures also witnessed changes in terms of decrease from 62.9Nm to 60.5Nm.

However, the surety is the engine gets a redesigned intake valve along with a dual-pass internal structure for the exhaust muffler as a replacement of previous triple-pass design to boost up exhaust note. The revised gearbox which goes from second to fifth gear shortly would help in increasing rideability of the bike.

Apparently, the 2017 CBR650F gets a new full-LED headlamp that illuminates your way with the much strong throw of light. Also, the bikini fairing from which the new Fireblade inspired bronze finish unit peeks out. The riding perch have also been resettled to a lower position around 13mm lower than before. The rear is all similar to the last model but gets a new LED tail lamp. The new CBR650F is being offered in the colour schemes of Millennium Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.

The bookings for the new CBR650F has commenced across all Honda Wing World showrooms in the country. However, when will the deliveries take place is not confirmed yet. Besides receiving significant changes, the power generation on the bike is low which is pretty disappointing for the Indian audience. At the same time, the availability of the bike on the same older price tag is the best thing to allure a wide range of audience.
