The next generation Hyundai Verna, which is scheduled to hit the Indian market on August 22, the brochure of the same has been leaked. The brochure reveals the upcoming will be offered in four variants of E, EX, SX, and SX(O). While the propelling will be dealt by petrol and diesel engines. The new color introduction to the existing colors includes fiery red, flame orange, polar white and sienna brown.
Beneath the hood, the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine will power the 2017 Verna along with the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder diesel drivetrain. The engines generate 21bhp/151Nm and 126bhp/260Nm respectively. At the gearbox transmission, the six-speed manual transmission will perform duties as a standard offering. While the automatic transmission is different with the variants as with the EX and SX(O) petrol variants and the EX and SX diesel iterations. In terms of safety, the auto major has packed the car with the features such as Driver, passenger airbags and ABS as standard fitment across all the variants. Whereas, the top end version will be benefited with the advanced safety of side and curtain airbags.
In terms of features, the Base E variant of the luxury sedan will be decorated with the chrome front grille, day and night rear view mirror, halogen headlamps and metal finish inside door handles and auto down (driver only) as well. The Verna EX will attain a five-inch touchscreen, audio steering wheels with audio controls and a manual AC with cluster ionizer features for driver and occupants convenience. Other than this, a rear AC vent, leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel, auto up-down (driver only), cruise control and a clutch footrest are the other attributes of the EX trim.
In addition to all the features in the EX variant, the SX trim additionally offers electro chrome rear view mirror, projector headlamps, cornering lights, LED DRLs and positioning lights. The variant also gets LED taillights, R16 diamond cut alloy wheels, electric folding mirrors and seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink. The top-spec SX(O) in addition to all the features from the lower variant offers smart key, rear defogger with timer, chrome outside door handles, leather door centre trim and auto link.
Apart from the above-mentioned EX variants features, the SX trim also gets projector headlamps, cornering lights, LED DRLs, positioning lights and the electro chrome rear view mirror. In addition to these, the LED taillights, R16 diamond cut alloy wheels, electric folding mirrors and seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink are some other facilities of the variant in question. While, the top of the line SX(O) will also be equipped with the cutting edge technological features comprising a smart key, rear defogger with timer, chrome outside door handles, leather door center trim and auto link.
