2017 Kawasaki Z1000 Set to Launch in India On April 22, 2017

Kawasaki India is all geared to bring the new generation version of its super naked performance Z1000 on the scheduled date of April 22, 2017. As expected, the new 2017 Kawasaki Z1000 will receive merely a host of modifications on the design front. However, a set of new colour and body graphics addition are much plausible to witness on this revamped naked street runner.

While on the mechanical end, the super naked will be powered by the same liquid-cooled, four stroke, in-line four cylinder motor, works on the ongoing model. The said mill is officially claimed to generate 140 bhp of power at 10,000 rpm and deliver a peak torque of 111 Nm at 7,300 rpm. But as the BS-IV emission norms have hit to the country from the same April month, 2017 Z1000 will also comply this ongoing emission norms. Other than this, the ECU gets retuned for seamless power flow.

If talked about the equipment on the naked performer, it includes a LED headlight, wider rear view mirrors for more visibility, aluminum handlebars, a gear position indicator on the instrument panel, an adjustable shift-up light on the rev counter, an improved LCD dashboard, and the must safety feature, ABS.

The global Kawasaki a Z1000 R edition has recently been introduced with exciting colour options and top-end fitments like Brembo brakes. The above-discussed ECU re-tune is expected to generate more torque in the low rev range, which will support in providing need needed power and torque for a daily commute.

If the really important pricing aspect is considered, the new 2017 model did not get any price update and carrying the similar price tag of the current model, globally. Considering the same, India-bound 2017 Kawasaki Z1000 model will also not witness any significant change in price.

Currently, the Kawasaki Z1000 is on sale in India at Rs 12.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), so merely the 2017 model will be priced around Rs 13 lakh for the Indian audience.
