According to the sources, it has been known that the American automaker, UM Motorcycle is working on a new 230cc motor that will power its upcoming motorcycle. However, under which moniker the bike will launch is not revealed yet. Though the chances are this unnamed bike could be put on UM podium at the imminent 2018 Auto Expo.
Talking about this new 230cc engine, it will be an air-cooled, single cylinder engine that will develop near about 19bhp of maximum power. As per the reports, the development of this new engine will help the bike maker in bringing down the price of UM bikes. Also, it will power a new cruiser that will use the components of the new Renegade Range. Though, on the styling front, it will be far different in terms of looks.

Across the country, UM Motorcycles has spread its dealership network and with the introduction of this new 230cc cruiser, the brand will look forward to generating more volume. As of now, the least expensive UM India lineup is the Renegade Sport S that is on sale at the price of INR 1.60 lakh. Beneath the fuel tank, it is powered by a 280cc liquid-cooled motor that generates 25bhp and delivers 23Nm of peak torque. This upcoming would pose a threat to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 in the segment.
