2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk - Meet The 707 hp Racing Bull

The renowned American off-road vehicle manufacturer, Jeep has finally dropped the curtain from its most powerful track-oriented creation ever!

Meet the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk which sounds no less than Hulk but in the red skin, is the new most powerful and quickest Jeep. Hiding beneath the front-end is a 6.2-litre, Supercharged, Hellcat V8 motor, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk develops an immense power of 707 bhp at the flywheel along with a massive torque of 875 Nm. With such monstrous outputs, the Trackhawk attains 100 kmph speed from a standstill in just 3.62 seconds.

The interesting part is Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk comes with All Wheel Drive (AWD) setup despite carrying a mighty 6.2-litre volume supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. It was earlier reported that Jeep engineers might have to degrade the motor in order to sustain the longevity of the Trackhawk’s AWD component, anyway, they made it. With a few tweaks, Jeep has managed to rev the engine with the highest power of 707 bhp.

To demonstrate this immense power, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk engine is paired with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission which undergoes several times to bear the added strength. The power is transmitted to the all four wheels via this 8-speed setup with an additional electronically controlled limited-slip differential for the rear wheels.

On the design front, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk looks quite similar to Grand Cherokee SRT with added muscle. Featuring the signature rectangular-shaped 7 boxes of the grille along with the LED DRLs, the Trackhawk carries the SRT spirit. Below the signature grille, however, the big brother gets an additional slit that aids in cooling.

With the more muscular bumper, the new Red Bull (We aren’t talking about the energy drink, but the Red painted Trackhawk) drives on the huge 20-inch alloy wheels. Either of the front doors boasts of ‘Grand Cherokee Trackhawk’ badge on the side, while at the rear, two pair of exhausts at each end gives the perfect stance to the SUV.

Step inside, the cockpit sounds more of a track-focused. Keep the racing spirit in mind, the tachometer has been placed at the center of the instrument panel. The SUV features a centrally mounted 8.4-inch display on the dashboard which comes with Trackhawk-exclusive pages for monitoring performance metrics. Jeep offers Nappa leather seats as standard though, one can avail an optional Signature Leather Interior Package that covers the whole cabin in black or Dark Ruby Red.
