Mahindra XUV500 Facelift Launched In India

Rajan Wadhera, President of Automotive Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, announced the launch of the new flagship SUV, XUV500 facelift in the country. The SUV was launched in 2011 and received a revision in 2015, this time the flagship SUV gets major changes in a facelift. The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 gets a revision in the front face along with updated signature headlights and a new grille. The new SUV takes the modern look of the cabin along with more premium touch in the interior.

As shown in the leaked images, the radiator grille of the new flagship SUV is illuminated with the chrome finish. The headlights have been revised and include projectors with LED daytime-running-lights. The triangular shaped tail lights are extended up to tailgate as compared to wrap-around like before. The fog lamp design seems like the foregoing one but this time with less chrome wrapping around the car.

Overall, the profile of the car remains as before for being a facelift, not a new model. The new alloy design is also added. As seen in leaked images, the facelift takes perforated leather upholstery in the cabin. Coming to the inside, it obtains a soft-touch dashboard-top and piano black finish to the dashboard.

Coming to the power and engine, it is made to get a slight jump in the output figure and takes a . The new facelift is expected to be priced higher than the existing one model. The ex-showroom prices in India can start from Rs. 12.5 lakhs to Rs. 19 lakhs for different variants. In the market, it will compete the Renault Captur, Jeep Compass entry-level variants, Tata Hexa, D-segment sedans and Hyundai Creta.
