75419 Baleno Cars Recalled by Maruti Suzuki to Upgrade Airbag Software

Nexa could have stressed by another recalled attack that has announced for its most selling product, Baleno in India. Recently, the carmaker has recalled over 20,000 units of the S-Cross crossover and now, about 75419 units of the Baleno hatchback have also been recalled to upgrade its airbag controller software.

It will include all the petrol and diesel variants that have been sold in the time period of August 3, 2015 to May 17, 2016, said company.  Moreover, among the 75419 unit, nearly 16,000 hatchbacks (only diesel) will also be re-examined for faulty fuel filter, thereafter a replacement will be done if they have to, company said.

Of the unit, it has also been included 17,231 (both petrol and diesel) units of the Baleno, that are being exported.

Besides, Maruti Suzuki is also concerned about the faulty fuel filter issue with the Dzire compact sedan and which is why they are also recalling 1,961 units of the Dzire.

Maruti said, "The software upgrade and the replacement of faulty fuel filter, will be done free of cost." The company dealers will start contacting the owners of affected models from May 31.
