A New Incarnation of BMW K1600 GT Beyond Your Thinking

It's really amazing how one can transform a touring motorcycle into an unimaginable gizmo. Yes!! The same was happening with the BMW K1600 GT touring motorcycle. Well, you must have heard about the champion in the world of motorcycle customization, Fred Krugger, and he has also become world champion as well in modifying motorcycles. The Belgium guy had really worked hard to give this touring motorcycle a whole new racer look. Although, it wasn't an easy task for him to give a whole new direction of changing the tourer motorcycle into an implausible one, which is beyond one's wildest dreams. The motorcycle is named as "NURBS" or Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline motorcycle.

BMW K1600GT as NURBS

While customizing the motorcycle, Fred Krugger has faced some problems with the electronics equipments, ABS box and some small stuff like sensors. Let me take you through the journey, where the BMW K1600GT has started receiving new furnishing. Starting from the basic, the chassis of the motorcycle was being changed, it has now become longer and lowers down in height and a new swing arm has also been added to the motorcycle. Apart from the 6-cylinder engine and the electronic equipments of the K1600GT, everything else has been refashioned by Fred Krugger, especially the uniquely designed bodywork, which has never seen before.

Talking about the other highlights of the newly introduced motorcycle, it has received a heavy and newly modified front suspension; catered by Duolever, incorporated with the K1600Gt's original shockers. The bodywork has been built with a combination of aluminum and steel, which will make you remember the 1930's Art Deco. The Nurbs is featuring newly designed wheel rims with 21" at the front and 20" at the rear.

However, by transforming a tourer into a racer look motorcycle, Fred has done a great job without touching the engine specifications. The most projecting part of the Krugger's K1600 is the six exhaust pipes, which has been designed in 6-2-1 course. Fred Krugger has given the unveiling charge to the BMW Motorrad France. The BMW located in France might display it at the upcoming EICMA motorcycle show, which will be going to held in Milan, Italy starting from 5th November, 2014.
