All New Ford Endeavour to be Launched by This Festive Season

The next generation Ford Endeavour is all set to enter the Indian automobile market around this festive season. The first batch of Endeavour has already been sent to the company showrooms. This upcoming vehicle is said to compete with its arch rival Toyota Fortuner along with the not-so-old Chevrolet Trailblazer. As far as the price is considered, it could be retailed at INR 20 Lacs to 25 Lacs (ex-showroom). It will be brought in the country via CKD route and these kits will be assembled at automaker's production facility located in Chennai.

Since it is the next generation Endeavour, there will obviously be a lot of improvements and additions made at certain portions. This model derives its design cues from Ford Edge along with a lot of similarities to the Everest Concept that was revealed in 2013 in Australia. Cosmetic features on the exterior will include chrome grille, projector headlights, modified bumper, LED DRLs, aluminium scuff plates, flared wheel arches, fog lamps, new tail light cluster and a large chrome strip with the number plate.

Other important equipments that will be fitted in the all new Endeavour include- SYNC2 infotainment system accompanied by an 8-inch display, audio system with 9 speakers, front parking sensors, eight0way adjustable front seats, power adjustable third row seats, driver side knee airbags and a Terrain management system with pre-adjust settings.

Moving on to the engine configuration, it will be packed with a 2.2 litre, 4-cylinder TDCi engine that develops 158Bhp/385Nm of maximum output. Another option houses a 3.2 litre, 5-cylinder unit making an output of 197Bhp/470Nm. The former will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox in both manual and automatic transmission, whereas the latter will be clubbed with automatic transmission facility. It will also receive an independent coil spring suspension at the rear axle, which is not there in the existing version.
