The wait is finally over as the Italian auto giant Piaggio has launched its much-awaited sports scooter Aprilia SR150 in the Indian auto segment at the price of INR 65,000 (Ex-showroom). Introduced at the earlier concluded 2016 Auto Expo, it is being manufactured at the company's manufacturing facility at Baramati in Maharashtra. Furthermore, the company will dispatch this model from the Vespa’s showroom across the country. Some dealerships in Maharashtra have also started accepting advance bookings of this unit at an earnest amount of INR 2,000, while the deliveries will be commenced later this month.
Under the sheet, it is hiding the 154.4 cc, four stroke engine that is inherited from Vespa and can pull the unit with a maximum power of 11.39 Bhp at 7000 rpm with a massive torque of 11.5 Nm at 5500 rpm. To dispatch the power at wheels, the engine is mated with an automatic transmission box. Stopping responsibilities will be taken care of by 220 mm disc brake up front integrated with twin-piston calliper and 240 mm disc brake at the rear end.
Thanks to its edgy and stylish design, the scooter now looks much more sporty and aggressive. Besides, there are so many attributes that will make your eyes get stuck staring the vehicle. It includes USB charging port, foldable foot pegs and pass-by switch light. The instrument console is also there with a fuel gauge indicator and an analog speedometer.
