Aston Martin Vantage GT3 to be Called Vantage GT12 After Porsche Objection

Recently launched Aston Martin Vantage Edition which was named as the Vantage GT3 has been renamed as Vantage GT12 after Porsche raised an objection over the name. However, it's not the first time that a company other than Porsche has used the GT3 badge for its cars, instead the badge is now has become famous for fast and furious racing cars. Although the British manufactures thinks otherwise and its PR Manager for Americas, Mr. Matthew Clarke also said “Rather than distract ourselves having a naming disagreement with Porsche, we would prefer to focus our energy and investment on the car and on making sure our customers receive the best possible Aston Martin.”

Recalling the car, as it's a limited edition so only 100 units will be manufactured of this car and will be powered by the 5.9 Litre V12 mill that is good to produce 592 hp power and 625 Nm torque comparing to 565 hp power and 619 Nm torque of regular Vantage S. It also races to the 100 km/h mark in 3.5 seconds, beats 3.7 seconds of Vantage S.

However, the higher drag coefficient has reduced its top speed to 297 km/h than 329 km/h and some of the tweaks have been made to its 7-speed transmission system as well. It also has shed the 19 kg weight with only new lightweight exhaust system.
