After launching Baleno hatchback last year, Maruti Suzuki has unveiled a sportier version of the car at the ongoing Delhi Auto Expo 2016 named as, Baleno RS. And, it's expected that if launched, it will give a cut-throat competition to Abarth Punto and Volkswagen Polo GT TSi. You will be glad to know that this is the first ever turbocharged small displacement petrol motor in India and is likely to be provided with other line-ups also.
The new Baleno RS is powered by 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged motor along with a substantial 110 bhp of max power, while the torque stands tall at 170 NM. The engine is mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox. Maruti Suzuki has given it sportier additions from inside and outside.

Coming to its exterior features, Baleno RS is equipped with the front bumper, having extensions, while it has bi-xenon headlamps with DRLs that are shared from the top-spec Baleno. The side aspects include new diamond cut alloy wheels and slim rain guards. Throwing light on its interior, it's packed with sportier upholstery.
While the remaining features are derived from the top-spec Alpha trim, such as a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, auto climate control, and instrument cluster. Besides this, the company has also introduced micro-SUV concept, Ignis at the same show.
