Tata Motors has released the production-ready variant of its forthcoming compact SUV, Tata Nexon at the running Auto Expo. Debuted previously at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Nexon carries a 1.2 litre turbo charged petrol engine accompanying a 1.5 litre diesel engine. As of now, only the details referencing to the Diesel version have put on a limelight, which propels out 110PS of power and 260NM of torque. The engine features three drive modes and paired to a six-speed transmission.
Equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels and dual path suspension, the SUV maintains a ground clearance of 200NM. Thanks to the long wheelbase and broad cabin, the car is more spacious now. Mentioning some significant outside bits, the small vehicle acquires elements like projector headlamps with daytime running lights, LED tail lamps and upper front grille shines with a chrome 'Humanity Line'. Apart from this, it also sports a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system plus eight speakers for the audio output.

Once launched, the Tata Nexon will be competing against the rivals Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300 and the Maruti Vitara Brezza.
