Bajaj Auto Sold 30000 Units of Pulsar AS150 and AS200 in 4 Months

A lot of fans have shown their love for the newly introduced Adventurer Sport motorcycles- Pulsar AS150 and AS200. Such as, the Bajaj Auto has sold 30000 units of Pulsar AS150 and AS200 in the domestic market within 4 months. Both the motorcycles, launched in May this year, built on the same platform and ride on the different engine. Thus, the company wants to attract a number of buyers through its Pulsar range. The average sales of the both motorcycles are around 7500 units per month. The Pulsar AS150 is being sold in the domestic market at INR 79,000 and the Pulsar AS200 got a price tag of INR 91,550 (Ex. Showroom Delhi)

Based on the Pulsar 200NS frame, the AS200 is semi-faired motorcycle which is featured with a large windscreen, projector headlight, raised handlebars and split seat. Thus, the Pulsar AS150 is a younger brother of AS200, which also features with the same thing of AS200, in terms of design and body cues. From the technical side, the Pulsar AS200 is powered by the same 199.5cc engine displacement engine that also powers the RS200. The single cylinder and air-cooled motor returns 23.5 PS of power and 18.6 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission.

Built on a new perimeter frame, the Pulsar AS150 is powered by single-cylinder and air-cooled motor, carrying an engine displacement of 149.5cc. The 149.5cc motor has managed to return 16.8 BHP of power at 9,000 RPM and 13 Nm of torque at 7,500 RPM. The engine mated to five-speed transmission. Furthermore, both the motorcycles is featured with front and rear disc brake, which ride on the front telescopic suspension and rear mono-shock setup.

With the positive sales figure of AS150 and AS200, the Bajaj Auto is going to discontinued its less popular motorcycle, 200 NS from its lineup. And further focusing on the production of its Adventurer Tourer range.
