Bajaj Avenger 200: A Facelift With Lower Engine, Might Launch in 2015

The Bajaj Auto is working on its first cruiser motorcycle, Avenger 200, to give it a new relish, in terms of performance; as the company has not made any changes from last four years in the motorcycle. On the other end, the company has lately introduced an all new Adventure Sports siblings (AS 200 and AS 150) and the well-famed Pulsar RS200; the fastest Pulsar yet as per claimed by the maker. Now, the company is following a new strategy to launch new products in the forthcoming months of the fiscal year, 2015. Moreover, it is expected that the updated Avenger 200 will be launched during the festive season. The examination of new engine compartment with some changes will enhance the performance policy of the new Avenger 200. The company might also add some cosmetic updates like graphics and other elements in the motorcycle.

The new Avenger 200 will be featured with 200cc, four-stroke and single-cylinder engine as found in the Pulsar 200 NS and AS 200. The 220cc engine of Avenger has 18.7 BHP of power, whereas the 200cc returns 23.5 BHP that is 5 BHP more than Avenger 220. Thus, the new Avenger 200 will be more powerful than the current model. New Bajaj Avenger will be featured with a six-speed gearbox instead of five. The motorcycle might get a rear disc brake to enhance the stopping efficiency.

In terms of style and look, the Avenger 220 is a low-slung motorcycle that looks very stunning with its round headlight, flat fuel tank and cushioned seat, whereas the large handlebar makes it easy to handle the motorcycle dynamically. Furthermore, the changes in the powerplant will surely effect on the price of the motorcycle as the motorcycle will carry a price tag of INR 95000.
