Bajaj Pulsar 180 Gets Modified as The Phantom

"The Phantom"!!! Yes, the name of the newly modified Bajaj Pulsar 180 built by the Baroda-based automotive customizing motorcycle manufacturer, J&D Custom Co. is the fresh customized product by the firm. This latest offering softail bobber named as 'Phantom', is based on the client's favourite funny character who is a jungle hero known for leaving his skull ring mark on the devils faces he punched out cold.

A lot of brainstorming has been done on the donor motorcycle when it was under the stripping phase. Way before the soft-tail bobber concept when came into the picture, the front man Jay D. Patel was giving his considerations for finalizing the structure of the fuel tank along with rest of the bodywork. The 'Peanut Bobber' belly and front frame portion of the bike was a big part that took much time in its fabrication. After that, the concept of rear suspension and swing arm came along to complete the design of the desired bobber. Also, there were a couple of prototypes made to exhibit distinct swing arm styles so that it gets easy to perceive the overall design of the tourer. Eventually, an eye-shaped, twin-pipe design was the final choice.

The front cowl has been made by a flat sheet of metal, which was Jay's idea for giving some different look to the motorcycle. The circular headlamp has got daytime running lights. Apart from this, there's a single fully cushioned seat having a light brown leather fabric. Some significant small bits include a custom handlebar and a single chrome rear view mirror. The livery is all dark blue personifying the American comic strip character while the top portion of the fuel tank is badged as 'The Phantom'.
