Benelli 302S Launched at EICMA 2017

In the starting of the year, it was rumored that Benelli is producing new motorcycles, concerning the developing countries like India in mind. At the EICMA show 2017 in Milan, they presented two bikes which were Benelli TNT 200 (a competitor of KTM Duke 200) and the other is the Benelli 302S. The motorcycle is powered by the same twin cylinder 300cc engine just similar to Tornado 302 R\'s on board setup, and new Benelli 302S with a 300cc engine is a naked street bike.

The engine of the bike is able to churn out a maximum power of 38 PS at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 25.6 Nm at 9,750 rpm. The twin cylinder and FI engine are paired with a 6-speed gearbox and compatible to EURO 4 which is just similar to BS4 in India. In the coverage of 1 km, it throws 99 grams of carbon emission and ensures to render a fuel efficiency of 23.25 kmpl.

The bike is manufactured on a steel trestle accommodating in steel tubes chassis. The feature department gathers a fully digital instrument console, LED DRLs on tank extensions, LED tail light, LED turn indicators, and LED headlight. Suspension setup consists 41mm upside down forks along with 135 mm travel coverage, whereas a monoshock with spring preload adjustment along with 46 mm travel coverage considering the rear setup.

Braking power includes a single a 240 mm disc at the rear whereas a 260 mm double discs with 4 pistons caliper up front. The bike has dual channel ABS as a standard option. It takes 17inch alloys furnished with the matte black colour finish. The front tyre of the bike measures 120/70 whereas the rear tyre measures 160/60. The speed rating of tyres completes Z speed rating, in sense, the tyre handles the speed of up to 240kmph.

Benelli 302S a gigantic bike is 2130 mm in length, 1200mm in height and 800 mm broaden. It can be seen clearly that the seat height is 795 mm, a wheelbase is of 1410 mm, a ground clearance of 175mm, a fuel tank is of 16 litres inclusive of the 3-litre reserve. The bike weighs 203 kgs accommodating all liquid and 90% of fuel on the bike which is perfectly road ready motorcycle.

Benelli 302R is a fully faired sports bike showcased in July this year in India with the price tag of Rs 3.48 lakh. We expect that the naked version of this bike will launch in India pricing around Rs. 3 lakh. If the bike costs Rs. 3 lakh in India, it will be good to go in the market. The Benelli 302R will go in a competition with Ninja 300, Yamaha R3 and KTM Duke 390.
