The BMW will be the first of 3 German Stalwarts to launch the first ever hybrid car model in India as the day which has been set for the launch is July 23rd 2014. Yeah pal, you heard it right. The BMW 7 series ActiveHybrid will be the first combo engine vehicle on the Indian roads. This 7 series car will offer the 3.0 Litre in-line 6-Cylinder twin turbo power engine.
The mechanical engine will offer the 320 hp power and 450 Nm of torque and the additional electric motor element will offer around 55 hp power and 210 Nm torque and that stands for the total output of 354 hp power. This power will be supplied to the rear wheels of the car with its 8-speed automatic transmission system and will accelerate this car from rest to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds with the pre-set high-speed of 250 km/h. Now, what mileage would you expect from this high performance car? Well, it delivers a whooping 14.7 km/l!
