BMW ActiveHybrid 7 Launching Today

It has been just 20 days back when we told you that BMW ActiveHybrid 7 is going to be launched on 23rd July. Well, today is the same day and the company is surely going to launch the India's first ever hybrid car. However, there won't be any difference in the looks of the car and it'll be identical to the regular 7 Series car. But, the only change which has been the most significant feature of the car as well is the hybrid nature of the car.

Still, if we talk about the features, the car has the signature kidney grille, adaptive LED lamps, large air vents at lower bumper, chrome accents, aerodynamic design and the luxurious appeal as well. Inside the cabin, the car has features like key-less entry and ignition, front and rear parking sensors, four-zone automatic climate control, 10 speaker sound system and satellite radio with USB/iPod integration system as well. Now, under the hood, the car may get a 3.0 Litre in-line 6-cylinder engine inherited from the 740Li which is able to produce 315 bhp power and 450 Nm torque. This petrol powerhouse is enough to take this car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds with the top speed of 250 km/h.

Now, the electric motor used in it makes the total power output nearly 366 bhp and the 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox will transfer this power to the rear wheels of the car. The mileage of the car, according to the European standard is around 15 km/l and I guess it's enough to for a BMW 7 series sedan. Isn't it?
