Post the launch of the much-hyped Apache RR 310, the enthusiasts are now looking for the next product from the TVS Motors and BMW Motorrad partnership, the BMW G310R. The bike was expected to launch earlier this year but owing to the shortage of distribution outlets the German bike maker postponed its launch in the country. Now in a reply to a Facebook fan when asked about the plausible launch and price of the G310R with respect to the Apache RR 310, BMW Motorrad responded in a positive way by saying, “As of now, we are in the process of finalizing launch dates. G310R will be priced competitively as it is a mass market product. Exact price will be revealed at the launch which will take place in a few weeks time”
The quoted words by the officials suggest an early 2018 launch of the motorcycle along with its pricing that is expected to undercut the faired cousin as well. The lately launched Apache RR 310 comes with a price sticker of INR 2.05 lakhs (ex-showroom, Chennai). While its naked counterpart the BMW G310R will be priced slightly lower comparatively. There is no doubt if the naked streetfighter G310R hits the Indian ground at the price of INR 2 lakh. It will sell like hotcakes as the brand has a great value in our country. In the segment, the most affordable motorcycle from the German marque, the G310R will go in competition with the likes of the Mahindra Mojo and KTM Duke 390.
At the powering front, the BMW G310R will get the propelling power from a 313cc, single-cylinder engine that in integration with a 6-speed gearbox, is able to pump out the peak power and torque figures, 33.5bhp and 28Nm respectively. While the suspension duties on the bike will be taken care by the USD front forks and a rear monoshock unit.

The braking power will come from 300 mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brakes. Being produced at the TVS Motors’ manufacturing unit based in Hosur, the Produced at TVS’ has already received much appreciation for its quality and overall package via the International media.
